The Last Normally Aspirated V10 Petrol Audi a 2023 Audi R8 V10 GT RWD up For Auction This May

2ND APRIL 2024

Low Mileage Iconic Supercar

“The R8 is a Supercar with breakneck acceleration” Car and Driver Mag
Iconic Auctioneers will sell one of only 15 UK-supplied right-hand drive examples of Audi's 612 bhp track-focused R8 GT RWD 'halo' model at their Supercar Fest Sale of Iconic and Classic cars on Saturday 18th May at Sywell Aerodrome, Sywell, Northampton, NN6 0BN.

One owner and just 112 miles from new this magnificent car comes to the market for an estimate of £230,000 - £260,000. This is the last ever normally aspirated v10 petrol car Audi will make. They made 333 for the world, and only 15 UK right drive cars, this is one of those very rare few.

Essentially a brand-new car this is potentially a very significant car in Audi’s illustrious history given it’s their last normally-aspirated V10 supercar and their most powerful rear-wheel-drive car ever made.

Car and Driver Magazine say of this beast: “Few supercars actually get driven daily, but the 2023 Audi R8 seems designed for such a task. It offers a reasonably easy-going ride along with its breakneck acceleration. The R8 shares its underpinnings and its powertrain—a mighty V-10 and seven-speed automatic—with the wild Lamborghini Huracán. The Audi is less hardcore than the Lambo, though, less intense on a twisty road or racetrack. What the R8 offers instead is a level of refinement that’s more in line with the rest of the Audi Line-up. The R8 is a Supercar for those who care as much about making an entrance at the end of their journey as the thrills they might have on the journey.”

Only 15 RHD UK examples

The highly exclusive Audi R8 GT was introduced in 2010 and limited to 333 examples worldwide. It was seen as the ultimate embodiment of the iconic mid-engined supercar, however, a successor, the R8 V10 GT RWD arrived in late 2022 and was again limited to 333 units globally, with only 15 examples bound for the UK.

The GT RWD is a track-focused 'halo' model with many bespoke performance and design features and is powered by Audi's legendary high-revving 5.2-litre V10 generating 620PS (612bhp) and 565Nm of torque, offering 0-62mph in a remarkable 3.4 seconds on its way to 199mph.

The last of the Audi R8

It was paired with a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission with even faster shifting times and was fitted with a 'rear torque mode' offering seven different settings enabling different levels of precise and controlled oversteer. The GT RWD marked the final farewell to the V10 as it was not to return after R8 production was closed.
