FIVE CARS WITH LESS THAN 10,000 MILES BETWEEN THEM! A SPECTACULARLY LOW MILEAGE SELECTION OF CARS HEAD TO AUCTION LED BY A 21ST BIRTHDAY PRESENT BOUGHT FOR A SIX-YEAR-OLD GIRL AND STORED FOR 15 YEARS AS A TIME-WARP SURPRISE WITH JUST 550 MILES! AT THE ICONIC SALE AT THE NEC CLASSIC MOTOR SHOW ON 9TH NOVEMBER
1990 Citroën 2CV6 Spécial - Single Ownership, 557 Miles. No Reserve – estimated at £15,000 - £20,000
This small red 2CV comes with a remarkable tale of love for a little girl by her father. It was purchased by him as a surprise 21st birthday present for his daughter, a lovely gesture but perhaps a touch impulsive as she was only six years old at the time! Growing up she knew of the car and there is an old polaroid photograph in the history file of her with the car, but she had no idea it was to be presented to her for her twenty first. That was a surprise!
Gary Dunne, Sales Manager at Iconic Auctioneers said “Rarely does a car of this age with just one registered keeper come to light, even less so when it is a model with such cult status, and offered as it is without Reserve, we anticipate that collectors will abound. This is an iconic car at an 'Iconic' sale.”
A further four stunning cars with incredibly low mileage are also offered at this Iconic Sale at the NEC. This 2017 Aston Martin V8 Vantage AMR with a manual gearbox, is a first production example of Aston's V8 Vantage AMR model and is #001 of just 200 and has covered just 586 miles with its only owner.
2017 Aston Martin V8 Vantage AMR - 586 Miles and one owner. Estimate: £70,000 - £80,000
There is a set of bespoke luggage, finished in matching black and tan, which is understood to have never been used. The AMR has been maintained by Aston directly and was serviced earlier this year and is therefore ready to go to its second home. It's supplied with the dealer book pack containing the official handbook and stamped service book along with some invoices.
To make an already special car even more special, the engine-bay struts have been signed by the Le Mans GTE Class-winning drivers from 2017, Darren Turner and Jonathon Adam, who also donated a framed celebration shirt signed by them.
Simon Langsdale who consigned the car said “#001 is undoubtedly a very desirable motor car and would grace any Collection of significant Astons”.

1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth Lux - Just 2,221 Miles Estimated: £80,000 -£100,000
It has been a cherished part of a significant Collection having been acquired almost 30 years ago. The car has been cosseted by both its first keeper, from whom it was purchased with just over 2,000 miles indicated and our late vendor who, it would appear, has added minimal mileage in the intervening years. It is understood that it was regularly taken to shows in the 1990s, presumably by trailer, and featured at an Autoglym Invitation Concours in 2009 where it sat alongside a Shelby Cobra belonging to the renowned petrol head and celebrity chef, James Martin.
Given the lack of use in recent years, it has been decided to bring the car to sale following a thorough pre-auction preparation by the respected Tremona Garage of Southampton. The car will arrive at the NEC in a 'ready to drive' condition, although it won't be put through an MOT (it's a bit academic considering it's only covered three miles since the last one) and given that it doesn't currently sit on the DVLA system and may well become part of another Collection where daily use is not a factor.

1990 Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth Rouse Sport 304-R - 2,881 Miles Estimated: £70,000 - £80,000
Iconic Auctioneers are widely recognised for bringing the very best examples of all things Performance Ford to the market and this superb example epitomises that standard completely. The Ford Sierra Cosworth needs no introduction. The RS500 has long been seen to be the epitome of the range, but just occasionally a car emerges that is so rare that maybe, just maybe, there may be a new challenger for the crown.
With just 2,881 warranted miles, this car is almost certainly the lowest mileage and most original example of the model in existence. Stored sympathetically with its original wheels and tyres removed, it still retains that indefinable 'new car smell' and is accompanied by correspondence from Andy Rouse to all buyers explaining how every car was hand-built by his team, personally checked and road-tested by him, and asking buyers 'to respect their name and use it in a responsible manner'.
The car is offered with the complete owners book pack, three MOT Certificates, various other marketing leaflets, and paperwork relating to various car shows etc. This car is also being fully recommissioned prior to the sale by the Tremona Garage.

1989 BMW Z1 - 3,361 Miles. Estimated: £50,000 - £60,000
Of all the BMW 'Z' cars, the 'Zukunft' tag is arguably most fittingly applied to the Z1, a car that even now, 35 years after it first went on sale, looks fresh and modern. The Z1 is special in every sense of the word - it's special to look at, to sit in and to drive and importantly, as the years have passed, it has started to become more appreciated and values have started to climb.

Further information about all the cars can be found at www.iconicauctioneers.com and in-person viewing is available at the NEC Friday 8th 10am to 6pm and on Saturday 9th from 9am until the auction commences at 10am.
