SUMMARY
Small Italian hatchback with the legendary Busso V6 under the bonnet.
DESCRIPTION
Background
At the heart of the 147 GTA sits the mighty 3.2-litre V6 engine designed by the legendary Giuseppe Busso. In this application the naturally aspirated Busso unit originally delivered just under 250bhp. This is paired with the innovative Selespeed 6-speed automated manual transmission which can be operated manually in a sequential manner via shift paddles in a self-shifting 'city mode'. This superb mechanical specification lent the GTA a 150mph plus top speed and a 0-60mph time in the mid-six second bracket.
The Car
This car was brought over from Japan in 2024, so it’s been kept from the harsh British weather and road salt. The car has been well maintained and looked after and has recently had a cambelt, service and plugs changed by Autolusso in March 2025.
The exterior is finished in Azzurro Gabbiano which Is a fairly rare colour to find a 147 in these days, it fitted with the classic Teledial 17" alloys which every Alfa should be fitted with. The car has got a MOT until September 2025 with 'no advisories', the 147 has just ticked over 66,000km (41,000 miles) meaning it’s a low-mileage example with two keys.
The interior is fitted with some grippy cloth bucket seats which according to the photographs are in remarkable condition. It has been fitted with an aftermarket infotainment system, but the vendor says the original radio does come with the car. Steering wheel looks to be in a very good state and the vendor telling us the paddles and gearbox working as they should.
This Alfa Romeo 147 GTA 3.2 V6 is a tastefully specified example of the beautifully designed hot hatch. Benefiting from timing belt and service in the last 1,000 miles, this 147 GTA would make an exhilarating weekend toy and a fun addition to any Collection of Italian thoroughbreds.
