SUMMARY

An incredibly low mileage example of Aston's V12 masterpiece.

DESCRIPTION

Background:

Parked outside Casino Royale in the eponymous film of 2006 was James Bond’s service-issued Aston Martin DBS. Menacingly sleek and packing a punch, much like 007 himself, the DBS was to star in a record-breaking action sequence towards the end of the film and an exhilarating opening scene for Craig's second outing as Bond in Quantum of Solace.

Powered by Aston Martin's 5.9-litre V12 engine, delivering 510hp, this propelled the car to a top speed of 191mph, while devouring 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. The DBS was the raffish younger brother to its rather sedate older sibling, the DB9, within the Aston Martin family at the time. Overall, the weight of the two-seat DBS was 65kg lower than the DB9, helped by the lighter weight semi-aniline interior leather, and even the standard carpets were made of a lighter weight fibre.

The UK launch price was £161,147, with many buyers, after 2009, ticking the option box for the automatic 'Touchtronic 2' transmission at an additional cost of £2,000.

The Car:

First registered on 1st October 2010 and with only two previous keepers, this beautiful example has covered just 11,683 miles.

Specified in Storm Black with Obsidian Black leather, the car presents beautifully, having been stored in a heated, dehumidified garage for its entire life. Elsewhere, the car was specified in a very purposeful and thoughtful way: sport seats in the 2+2 configuration, along with 20" 10-spoke diamond-turned alloy graphite wheels, an Alcantara steering wheel, and carbon fibre door pulls.

The car may barely have covered a year’s worth of mileage in its life, but it still has a full service history from Aston Martin main agents. It is presented ready to drive, with an MOT until 28th July 2025.
