DESCRIPTION
One of the finest J40s we have seen and ready to stun the crowds at the Goodwood Race Revival Settrington Cup this year?
The J40 was restored for the current custodian by a classic car restoration company to the highest standard. The bodyshell was soda blasted, any small dents removed, then etch primed, undercoated and finished in two-pack Old English white. There's not a mark on the paintwork. The front axle was rebuilt on a jig to give perfect alignment, and it was internally strengthened to ensure that it doesn't sag in the future, unlike so many J40's you see. New king pins and bearings were also fitted. The rear axle also benefited from new bearings, and all running gear was powder coated to provide a lasting finish. The wheels were as new, with none of the usual damage to the rim edges, and were soda blasted and powder coated in cream, with new tubes and tyres. All bumpers/grille parts were re-chromed or new, and all new fixings were used. The handbrake was relined, the seats reupholstered, and the dash restored with the correct light switch. The steering wheel was also fully restored, new wiring fitted, and the engine bay detailed. Since being finished, it's been kept indoors and unused.
This would make a great display piece or as a special gift to a child/grandchild.

Any vehicles not collected by 2pm on Monday 29th August will be taken to EM Rogers storage facility in Northampton for a fee of £175 plus VAT. Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day from Monday 29th onwards.
Automobilia can be collected from the Wing on the day of the auction or Monday morning between 9am and midday by prior appointment. After this time it can be collected from our offices in Warwickshire or shipped to you at your expense.
