A Pair of Colin McRae Prototype K-Swiss Racing Boots

"As well as being a Colin McRae/team Subaru admirer, I knew Colin McRae very briefly in a professional capacity prior to his accident. After that time, I supported the family by co-ordinating and transporting their Colin McRae memorabilia van and trailer to events throughout the country and internationally. This extended to selling a variety of merchandise at those events and as such, I became friendly with the family as well as close McRae associates. My associations naturally ended when the Colin McRae Vision charity ceased in 2011. I am imaged above (centre) with Jimmy McRae (left) & Jackie Irwin (right) (Subaru Pro Drive assistant to chairman David Richards CBE) with a cheque for the money raised. At some point following Colin's fatal accident, the shoes were gifted to his Business Manager, Campbell Roy. In 2010, Campbell was moving premises from Hillington to Jervis Wood and the shoes were gifted to me.

I can confirm that the image above is that of the racing shoes gifted to me by Campbell Roy; that the provenance of the shoes is accurate and their transference to my possession in 2010."
